Summary Edit

Synopsis Edit

  • Inuyasha tries to defeat Gozu and Mezu, but is still having trouble. The pair of giant statues don't even get a crack from a swing of the Tessaiga. Miroku uses his Kazaana, but it also has no effect on the gatekeepers. Inuyasha is on the ground and tells Miroku to keep the Kazaana open for just a bit longer, and uses it as a current which pulls him toward one of the statues, hoping the momentum will give more punch to his Tessaiga, however it only knocks one of them over. Myōga tells Inuyasha his only hope of survival is turn Gozu and Mezu back into ordinary statues by forcing the gateway to open and close: There are chains that bind the gateway, if Inuyasha uses his Tessaiga to cut them, the doorway should open.
  • Inuyasha uses the Red Tessaiga to break the chains on the gate. As the gate starts to open, Kagura suddenly appears, accompanied by an army of Naraku's yōkai, planning on getting to the borderland before Inuyasha and friends have a chance to.
  • Kagura and the yōkai army become bathed in a strange light.
