When Shippō searched as Myōga glad that he's survived that the others are at the panthers' fortress. Inuyasha fight with Shunran as she use the illusion spells. Kōga fights with Shūran, as he dodges Shūran's lightning bolt, Rōyakan have been hit. Sesshōmaru blocks Karan's fireballs with the Tōkijin as he blast it to destroy her another fireball attack as she has been hit and landed on the water. Then he dodged from Tōran's ice spear's attack and turn the ground to ice (except for Karan because she's all heat). She thought that Sesshōmaru had been weaker, as his "shorted arm" who could've done it, so he and Tōran blast it and after that, she tells him that the celebration is about to begin and will be waiting for him. Kōga thinks that Shūran's lightning bolt was too fast, as he gets ready, he dodges Shūran's lightning bolts fast until he kick Shūran's stomach. Shūran tells the panthers to retreat, as Rōyakan's still alive that he's asleep, and Kōga tells them to leave him as he know that Kagome is in the castle. While Inuyasha tries to fight and which one is real, Jaken use his Nintōjō to dispel her illusion to reveal the real Shunran. She was impressed for an imp as Jaken said "Your tricks can't fool me! Don't estimate my power." As Inuyasha attempted to take her down, she got away as she tells them to continue at the castle.

As the Panther demons prepared to destroyed the dog demons, the Panther King's barrier is up as Sesshōmaru try to attack but it didn't work, the Panther King took the Shikon Jewel shards and resurrected. When they are about to sacrifice Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and the villagers to their leader, Kōga try to rescue but it didn't work, Miroku is going to use the Kazaana but it sealed by the Panther King until Inuyasha cuts through their barrier with the Red Tessaiga. The Panther Devas were shocked to happen. Jaken had found Sesshōmaru and felt surprised that Inuyasha using "powerful Tessaiga".

Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru have fought each other as the Panther Devas felt surprised as they're going to destroy them with their combined powers. Annoyed with this, the Panther King absorbs the life energy out of three of the four cat warriors to take as his own (Tōran being the one who is spared.) Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru stopped fighting each other and surprised for what the Panther King did to his own kin. They team up to combat the leader, but their attacks have no effect on him. Jaken tells Inuyasha that the Panther King have become even more powerful than Ryūkotsusei and has the power of the Shikon Jewel shards. Sesshōmaru then uses Tenseiga on the leader, taking out the life energy which the leader absorbed from his comrades. Inuyasha then kills the leader with the Kaze no Kizu and took the shards out of his throat. Sesshōmaru's attack also revives the three panther demons that were killed, much to their surprise. In light of everything that's just happened, Inuyasha asks if the panther demons really plan to continue their war against the dog demons, to which Tōran agrees that there is no point, and calls for her siblings to return home in the western lands for retirement.

The next morning, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango tells the villagers that their village will be safe again. Rin was waiting for Sesshōmaru and Jaken with A-Un while she's humming and singing until they arrives as Sesshōmaru tells her "let's be off" as she and A-Un moves on.

Notes[]

  • This is the 3rd and final episode of the Panther Devas anime filler arc.
  • It is ironic that just as the Panther Devas mock Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru for in-fighting, they are attacked and killed by their own master—the very person they'd been trying to revive.
  • Sesshōmaru and Kōga cross paths for the first time this episode (Kōga hearing about Sesshōmaru for the first time in the previous episode), but they never directly interact until Episode 99.
