Hitomiko's master (瞳子の先生) was a priest and her predecessor who was killed by Naraku when he protected Hitomiko (at that time still a little girl) before he died. He told her that the growing threats would surround her fate and gave the weapon that he wielded, the Kagura Suzu, on to Hitomiko.
