These are some policies on how articles should be written.

• Character articles should be written in the third person and in the past tense, not present or future tense. All other articles (chapter, episode, music, etc.) may be written in the present tense.
• When listing information and someone has been replaced by someone else in the plot, the person who was chronologically first should be listed first.
• Articles should be written in US English, not British English.
• Articles should be written in an in-universe style, and not refer to the reader or viewer when talking about events.
• All articles should be written in an unambiguous style:
• Assertions should, in general, be back up by specific examples with citations.
• The point of a phrase or paragraph should be clear without ambiguity as to whom or what is being referred to or how the editor(s)'s arguments connect with the evidence. If necessary, the clarify template may be used when readers are confused as to the point or subject of a sentence.

WikiText style[]

• Headers should be in the form ==Header==, not the form == Header ==. This only applies to articles, image pages use == Summary == automatically and talkpages are free form and no changes should ever be made to header style.
• Things like hiraikotsu and hiraikotsu are pointless, so only hiraikotsu should be used.

Common improper style changes[]

• Do not change the character name "Inuyasha" to "InuYasha". "Inuyasha" is the character name and "InuYasha" is the series name.
• Do not change "Tessaiga" to "Tetsusaiga" or "Tetsaiga."
• Do not change "Sesshōmaru," "Myōga," or anything else to a uu or ou such as "Sesshoumaru," or "Myouga."
• Do not go adding last names to links unless you have a valid reason to do so (e.g. if full character name hasn't been used earlier in the article). Full names should not be abused to bypass redirects.
• Do not change page numbers in ref tags to have a leading zero. Going around the wiki and changing 3 to 03 despite most pages sticking to 3 doesn't improve the wiki at all and just adds pointless edits, just stick with 3.
