Kaijinbō's house was the home of the evil swordsmith Kaijinbō. It was a small hut that contained his tools for forging swords. It was in a swamp that was surrounded with the bones of many yōkai. It was surrounded by a miasma that was lethal for humans to breathe.

History[]

Kaijinbō lived at his home after he was banished by his master Tōtōsai. He continued to make evil swords there. He was approached by Sesshōmaru to make a sword out of the fangs of Goshinki. Sesshōmaru's vassal Jaken, returned three later to see if the sword was complete. He was immediately killed by Kaijinbō after entering his home. Kaijinbō then left his home in order to kill Inuyasha due to the sword still possessing Goshinki's desire to kill him.

It was later revealed that Hoshiyomi visited Kaijinbo's home with a wheelbarrow containing 222 yōkai corpses for the swordsmith to create the Naginata of Kenkon.

Manga vs. anime[]

  • The scene in Chapter 158 when Rin is told by Jaken that she can not go to Kaijinbo's house with him and Sesshōmaru due to it being surrounded by a lethal miasma is not present in the anime.
