Midoriko

Midoriko was a miko many years ago who was very powerful. She fought youkai and in her final battle, combined within her body both her soul and the souls of youkai, and then expelled out this combination as the Shikon no Tama. Her body exists in crystallized form in the taijiya village. It is hinted that Kirara fought by Midoriko's side.

As the story continue her soul and the yokai was split out of shikon no tama as its has intention to use Naraku and Kagome instead. However it was finally banished as Kagome and Inuyasha wish for it to disappear forever.
