Mushin (夢心, "Dream Mind") was an elderly Buddhist monk who raised Miroku after the Kazaana consumed Miroku's father. Mushin maintained a secluded Buddhist temple at the site of the Wind Tunnel crater, where Miroku's father and grandfather died.

History

After Miroku nicked his Wind Tunnel while fighting a mantis yōkai, he traveled to Munshin's temple with Hachiemon to get him to repair it. While Mushin was preparing his herbs for the healing session, he was attacked by a demon worm charmer, and the worm possessed him. Sango killed the demon worm charmer who was trying to escape, and they managed to lift Mushin's possession.

When many monks and priests were being mysteriously killed by someone, Mushin believed that he would also soon be killed. He told Miroku that before he died, he would like to drink the legendary sake that was brewed by the Sake Sennin, sending Inuyasha and his friends to obtain it.

Personality

Mushin was overly fond of sake and was not above "making the most" of a situation.
