Nanafushi (ナナフシ) was a mantis demon who fought Inuyasha. Nanafushi was capable of putting up a barrier, so Inuyasha decided to fight him in order to complete his quest of gaining the ability to break barriers. However, Nanafushi's barrier was very weak and was easily destroyed by the Wind Scar.[1]
