InuYasha Anime

Episode 9

The Raigekijin (雷撃刃, らいけじん, "Lightning Blade"), also known as the Thunder Pike, was a spear used by Hiten, the eldest of the feared yōkai duo, the Thunder Brothers. It was capable of discharging large amounts of electrical energy. It was broken in half during Hiten's battle with the hanyō Inuyasha and later collected by the last-surviving member of the Thunder Demon Tribe, Sōten. It was hung on a wall of the Castle of the Thunder Brothers.[Note 1]

AttacksEdit

  • Lightning Bolt Attack: Hiten's most common attack, a lightning bolt is alternatively summoned from the sky or fired directly from Raigekijin. It is quite powerful, able to destroy an entire army of samurai and destroy chunks of mountain.[1]
  • Energy Bullet: After obtaining five Sacred Jewel shards, Hiten is able to generate enough electric energy to create an enormous sphere of lightning, similar to the dragon Ryūkotsusei. It is not as powerful, however, as Tessaiga's sheath is easily able to absorb its energy.[2]
