Yura of the Demon-Hair is the fourth episode of the InuYasha anime series.

This episode begins during the episode before it. Yura attacks Kagome when she was knocked over, Yura shot her sword down there but Kagome was nowhere do be found. Kaede and a village woman are attacked by the villager's daughter who was being controlled by Yura's hair. Inuyasha buries Kaede in the ground just so so she can hide, and he promised to get her when he and Kagome have defeated Yura.
Back in Kagome's time it's nighttime and Kagome told her grandfather and her little brother Sota said about what happened to her for three days. Her mom doesn't believe it. However, for what grandpa knows is a thing or two about the bone-eater's well's history. To make sure it doesn't happen again, he seals it up. Kagome dries her hair with a hair-dryer and is noticed that grandpa had closed the well, just to make sure no more demons come out of there. Kagome somehow doubts that. In Inuyasha's time he runs through the forest and picks up Kagome's scent and follows it toward the well. She left her school clothes right by it. Then he jumps into the well, believing that she went back into her own time.
Kagome laying down on her bed with Buyo right by her resting. She wonders if she was really back in feudal Japan. Kaede tells her that she and Inuyasha must work together to get the shards then thinks about for what Yura did to her before she got home. She knew from that she wanted the jewel for herself, but Kagome wonders if she won't give it back to her, Then Inuyasha tells her to go that he doesn't need her this assignment. She finally makes her mind just to think it's just a crazy dream. Her mom calls her down for dinner.
Added by AvatarGirl26Sota is worried that the seals won't work on the well Grandpa put on. Grandpa ensures him that they do work. Kagome doesn't pay attention to Grandpa for tells her that no more demons will come out of there. Just as she and her family begin to eat, Inuyasha barges in. Her family are speechless for what they have to say about him. He asked her who told you, you could go home. Kagome asks him for how he got to her time, and he quickly answers through the well. Grandpa tells him that the well has been sealed off, but Inuyasha tells him that they don't work. He tells her that she has to go back with him to the well. Kagome's mom was curious about his dog ears and wanted to know if they're real, even Sota wanted do it too. A hair is over his shoulder, but Inuyasha can't see but Kagome can. The hair moved in Kagome's hand. Then she realized that only her and Kaede can see the hair.
She gets in the well and notices more hair, and Inuyasha was right for what Kaede told him about the hair. Kagome guessed that the hair followed Inuyasha back to her time to finish them off. Kagome finds the main hair that controls it all. Kagome puts her hand to show the blood flowing on it, Inuyasha cuts it and it was gone. Kagome knows for Yura still has the shard but why does she want to do with Kagome and Inuyasha. Kagome makes her mind and wants to go back to protect her family from further harm. Inuyasha lend his kimono over her head and tells her it's made of the hair of the fire-rat and it'll give her protection for the time being. She quietly thanks him, but Inuyasha said if she looked more wierder, she wouldn't even need it.
They jump back into the well to get back to Feudal Japan. A bunch of hair come out of the cliff up ahead in front of them. The hair gets a hold of Inuyasha and they find a giant hairball. Yura taunts Inuyasha for being a half-demon, and she shows him the shards after she takes care of them. She uses a comb to create more hair to tie Inuyasha from moving. She comments on his silver hair but is disappointed to see all the split ends. Yura draws her sword from underneath him and slashed him in the side of his body. Kagome shoots an arrow in front and demands her to let Inuyasha go. Her second almost hit Inuyasha from behind. Inuyasha plees to watch where she aims the arrows. The arrow got on the hairball and destroys it. A lot skulls spills out of it.
Added by GiovanniNysYura attacks Kagome with a fire attack which she assumes that she'll be remain in ashes. Inuyasha attacks Yura with his Blades of Blood, which cuts out her right wrist, but the hand stabbed him in the shoulder this time. Inuyasha pierces Yura's chest to get the pouch for insulting him for half-demon half-power. Kagome who survived her fire attack climbs up the hairball and finds the red skull which happens to be the source of her power. Yura gets a hold her instead and asks her why isn't she bleeding. It was because the kimono Inuyasha lend to her for this battle. Yura decides to test her by putting a strain of hair around her neck, choking her in the process. Inuyasha uses his Blades of Blood to cut the hair to free her. Inuyasha catches her during the fall. Yura tells them she's immortal, but her weakness is the the red skull which kills her in the process. Inuyasha asked her where the shard is, she finds in front front. Inuyasha calls her name for the first, Kagome is surprised to hear from him. But he still think she's worthless for it. Kagome tells him not to rely on her when he needs something. Kaede still buried is still waiting for Inuyasha and Kagome to get her back to the village.

- This episode is the first time Inuyasha calls Kagome by her name. It is also the last episode featuring the original recurring characters from the pilot; after that, new recurring characters are added, starting with Sesshomaru and Jaken.
